About Ms. Fletcher:
Welcome to Forest Heights Stem Academy! My name is Ms. Tamica Fletcher and I will have the pleasure of teaching your child this year. I taught kindergarten here at Forest Heights for two years. It is my belief that a child's success is based on a cooperative parent/teacher relationship. I look forward to working with you throughout the year.
I hope you and your child enjoyed the summer and that you are ready to embark on an important milestone in your child's life. First grade is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually and building on skills learned in Kindergarten. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a a wonderful year for you and your child. About Mrs. Bridges:Before I became a teacher I attended the University of Central Arkansas where I became interested in absolutely everything! After realizing there isn't a major for that, I decided to study Nutrition and graduated with a Bachelors in the Science of Nutrition. When the time came to apply for Dietetic Internships, I was more interested in holding study groups in the library for exams. It occurred to me then that you may not be able to major in everything but you can have a job that consists of several different jobs. Therefore I went back to school and received a Masters in the Arts of Teaching. Now as a teacher I hope to inspire my students to be well rounded individuals. Throughout the year I will use a wide variety of activities to help kids learn through their experiences, critical thinking and their imaginations.
